This stuff is also at Big Lots, for not as cheap as the Evil stuff above. It claims to be "Made in Germany", and I imagine thousand-hectare coffee plantations along the Rhine. This coffee is entirely inoffensive. You will find no nuttiness, no hints of black current and leather. It is quite yummy. It's a Kraft product, so you can feel bad about supporting an engulf-and-devour multinational corporation while you enjoy the yumminess.
It is also, although the package gives no hint of this, an Espresso grind. So break out the Moka Pot!

DOnt you just love the way each and every thing says "gourmet" on its label
Message for Li - Li I send a story to Goody Blog like you suggested - they have not published it yet - I can imagine they are getting a lot of stories - if they dont _ I will publish on hopeful parents next month! Thanks for the suggestion I enjoyed writing the story
K--thanks for letting me know! I hope they publish it but either way, I'm looking forward to reading it. I'm glad you enjoyed writing it!
Argh--that anonymous was me!

Thanks a ton for your comment on the Floortime consultation
It really is hard - to listen to the how much we are falling short of the ideal - even when its the truth
This is kind of why I stopped going to our FT consultant - finally I think I am in a place whhere I dont spend all my time feeling guilty ( only some time ) - and am not as horribly vulnerable as I used to be
So I just go for the excellent advice and try to insulate my heart againgt all those feelings of "not-doing-enough"
Anyway I just wanted to thank you for your astute and kind comment
love
K
I'm so glad you found the comment helpful. I was a little worried that I'd overstepped, but I know that parents can feel so much pressure to Do. Everything. to help their kids, and we're all just doing the best we can. You are doing a great job! Your love for your son comes through in every word you write.

Speaking of Pic n'Save* coffee ... for awhile they had a Seattle's Best hazelnut flavored ground that, when halved by a more robust bean (like SB Verona or Italian roast) yields a tempered "bold" with just a hint of hazelnut. I find flavored coffees are (justifiably) focused on the flavor, when I'm more interested in a good brew with a hint.
*they can change their name to whatever they want -- it's still is and always will be Pic n'Save to me.
hey Li
how are you ?
Hi K! You're so sweet to stop by and see how we're doing. Things are very good. We just got back from a trip to the shore and my son absolutely loved the ocean and seeing tidepools. He handled the trip very well--no meltdowns!--which is great because it means we can travel some more.
I've been reading along on your blog but not posting lately because I've been super busy, but I love reading your words. I really took what you said to heart about the greatest gift we can give our children is to be interested in them. I am trying to put that into action even when life is crazy.
How are u doing li... How is kidlo?
I was recently in LA for a very short business trip ... At hotel palomar and was thinking of u.. LA is so different tgan where i live
Hi K! Too bad your trip was so short--it would've been fun to grab coffee or lunch. Let me know if you're in town again for a longer trip.
LA is different from everywhere, lol. Sometimes I can't believe I'm raising a kid here, but it's fun. I organized a play date for the neighborhood families today and it was great. As you know from reading the blog, there weren't many families down here when we first moved to the neighborhood but there's been a little baby boom lately.
