More gold pain... t

This town sure loves the gold-painted doors.

The iron gates at the Title Insurance Building (433 S. Spring) are taking their turn for the gold-paint treatment. Which is fine, I guess. Spring St. is a former Banking district, after all. These buildings are monuments to a bygone era of financial excess. (Not that era, the previous one.) When we run out of doors, we can get on to gilding the pavement itself.

Them doors at the Stock Exchange

They're still working on the doors at the Stock Exchange / Versus. At this point I have no idea if that's a good or bad thing.

Inside the Stock Exchange

I snapped this through a hole in the plywood that covers one of the windows of the Stock Exchange. This will soon be home to Versus. Let's hope they don't paint over those elevator doors the way they did the front doors.

Update: My darling husband just told me that this isn't the Stock Exchange interior but the lobby of the soon-to-open SB Tower.
