He could be with the Tony Alamo Christian Ministries. His cult-like followers frequently work the downtown area, especially around 5th, Broadway and Hill.
The church is officially listed as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, which monitors such organizations.
Be sure to take a flier from these folks---and then wad it up and throw it away.
Haven't seen this guy yet but I am already used to my "regulars" on Broadway. They never seem to miss a day to preach, there's even a lady that preaches in Spanish.
